FFA Horse Judging Team Places 4th
On Friday, February 6th, six Kewanee FFA members competed in the Illinois FFA State Horse Evaluation Career Development Event.
Over 350 FFA Members flooded the agriculture arena at Black Hawk College East Campus on Friday. The Kewanee FFA Horse Judging Team had students compete in both the Reasons and Non-Reasons Divisions. These events are crucial in growing leaders and preparing for future career success.
The Reasons Team finished 4th OVERALL!
Mikayla Ouart tied for Reserve High Individual with a SUPERIOR rating!

200 Illinois FFA members also found their way to the Black Hawk College East Campus Veterinary Sciences Center to compete in the State FFA Veterinary Science Career Development Event on Friday. The following Kewanee FFA members represented the KHS chapter well!

KHS FFA Members Headed to State!
Kewanee FFA had two students succeed at the District 1 Career Development Event on Wednesday, October 22nd, hosted at Geneseo High School.
Agriculture Education: Remy Hicks finished in the TOP 2 and is a STATE QUALIFIER! She will be advancing to the State contest at Illinois State University in Normal on November 8th.
Job Interview: Kalleigh Gale was named a Superior Individual and is a STATE QUALIFER! She will be advancing to the State contest at Illinois State University in Normal on November 8th.
