2025 Girls Golf

Season in Review

The Kewanee Girls Golf Team wrapped up a season of growth and determination under first-year Head Coach VanDeWostine and Assistant Coach Lindstrom. With only two golfers representing the program this year, the focus was on building experience, developing consistency, and strengthening confidence on the course. Our two female golfers were Charlotte Burkhart and Sophie Hamilton.

Both players demonstrated impressive dedication throughout the season, balancing school, practice, and competition while improving their scores week by week. Their hard work reflected the positive culture that the coaching staff is working to establish within the program.

“Even with a small roster, our girls showed tremendous growth,” said Coach VanDeWostine. “They learned the importance of staying patient, keeping composure, and trusting their swing. We’re proud of how far they’ve come in just one season.”

The coaches hope to continue building the program by encouraging more student-athletes to give golf a try next year. With the experience gained this season and the leadership of two dedicated returning golfers, the future is bright for Kewanee Girls Golf.
